Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right
near you?
I'd definitely say losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you because a friend who moves away can't be helped and although you do choose whether to make the effort to keep contact with them, it isn't always possible or easy with the distance. However, with a friend who lives right near you, you could quite easily keep in touch and it should't require much effort so if you did lose touch then maybe it's for different, bigger reasons.
