50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?

I'm pretty much making a lot of my decisions for myself....

!! I actually just realised that this is the last question of the 50 questions that will free your mind challenge. I've really enjoyed answering a question a day and I hope you've enjoyed reading them.... !!

In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?

Ha! I have an awesome answer to this question...yes as a matter of fact I will remember EXACTLY what I  did today, and yesterday and the day before that because...I'm currently undertaking a 365 day photo of the day challenge to fulfil one of the things on my bucket list and so in five years I can look back to this date and see the photo I took and hey presto, I'll remember! (:

What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?

I love my family. A recent example where I openly expressed this was when I phoned my grandma when she wasn't feeling well to cheer her up. She said it really made her feel good...that makes me happy....

When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?

This is a stupid question because usually if something is brought to your attention you notice it. The last time I noticed the sound of my own breathing was when I just read this question haha...

What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?

I would stop worrying about being judged.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?

Although we may learn from the mistakes we make, we don't want to repeat the same mistake over and over again so therefore people become afraid. Everyone makes mistakes, it's just a fact of life, but in order to learn, you must make a mistake first; it's just that people are afraid to admit when they have made one...

When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?

When I figure out what is right...

What is the difference between being alive and truly living?

My definitions...

Being alive: the state of being.

Truly living: the state of being the person you want to be. Living the way you want to live. Doing the things you want to do.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous?

10 years is a long time! Think of all the things you could accomplish in 10 years...Yes I'd love to be famous and extremely attractive but if in order to do that I'd have to lose 10 years then I'll pass I think and keep my years.

Would you be willing?

If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?

What a cheery question eh? Well, I'd spend the majority of the day with my mum and dad then I'd spend the rest with my grandparents split equally.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in?

Umm....this question has actually really confused me! Did I actually go into the dark or does is it just like the dark as in the unknown? I'm going to take it as the unknown. I think I could apply this to each time I write an essay. I feel like I have only limited ideas and that I'm being thrown straight into writing it. Then usually my soft glow of an idea does turn to a bright light :D

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before?

I can honestly say that I do. For starters my days at university are timetabled so I do the same things each week, and then I just feel that I get in, make food, talk to flatmates, talk to my parents, maybe watch a movie or television and then sleep...

I do do other things but nothing that really makes each individual day stand out - at this moment in time.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?

I'd rather have less work and then spend my time doing things I enjoy. I wouldn't want more work even if it was enjoyable because more work tends to get on top of you eventually no matter how enjoyable it is. I'll stick with having less work that I don't enjoy I think...

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

If you just won a million pounds, would you quit your job?

Well, I don't have a job but I am a student so really; if I won a million pounds, would I quit being a student? The answer is probably no. I think with a million dollars I could quite happily pay off my parents mortgage, and buy myself some nice things, go on holiday etc etc but in all honestly I just don't think in this world, I could survive on a million pounds.
Yes, I could buy A LOT of stuff and do A LOT of things but I think I'd have to win maybe several million pounds in order to quit being a student.

I want to know your answers to this one. Would you quit your job?

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil?

I honestly think that no, you can't without any doubt know what is good and what is evil. However, people who follow a religion and who have certain beliefs will have a certain and set-in-stone view of what is good and what is evil.

I do think that people have a view and opinion of what they consider good and evil but this does not mean that it is an absolute.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?

Simply because religious groups are made up of people. People cause wars and so even if religions support love, they are also human, and so can still cause wars. Also, religions push their beliefs and supports at people all the time and this can come across as trying to pressure someone into believing what they believe and so wars happen when people don't want to be part of it.

This is merely my own answer to this question. I in know way claim that this is the correct answer, nor to I claim it is a belief of many...this is solely my opinion on the matter.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever?

Nope, can't say I have. Most slant conversations I've had, I've just walked say thinking 'wow that was awkward' haha. I'm sure it's a lovely thing to happen though...

I'd actually like to know if this has happened to any of you?

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?

I'd say nothing. You have't achieved it yet so you therefore have nothing to lose. However, you could say you have 'it' to lose...

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?

I think most recently it would have to be when I was scuba diving. It's a completely different and new experience for me and I feel so alive under the water. It's a really strange and surreal feeling and I hope I will continue on with it.

I feel I could become as passionate about scuba diving as I once was about Taekwondo....

Tomorrow's question is: 'If not now, then when?' but it is now, so I thought I'd just include this question in this post rather than tomorrow...

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind...

What is your happiest childhood memory?  What makes it so special?

I can't remember too far back but of what I can remember, I'd say the holidays to Florida with my mum and dad were the happiest memory. We went a few times but each time was so different and even as I got older and we went, it was still such a happy time.

When I was younger my fascination lay with the Disney characters and the 'magical' element which of course made me happy! When I was older I was more interested in the rides and roller coasters - and the shopping! So I think my happiest childhood memory is going to Florida.
