Woah woah woah this is new information to me! Just when we all thought Disney had closed their imaginary gates on princesses for good; they go and announce another new princess is coming soon!
Sofia the First will be the youngest princess ever to grace a Disney production and she will have not only her own film, but a television series too. Thirteen year-old Ariel Winter will voice Sofia, an ordinary girl who is blasted into the world of the royals after her mum (voiced by Sara Ramirez) marries a king.
The movie is due for release sometime this year and then the animated series will follow in 2013.
What are your thoughts on Sofia, the new, pre-school princess? Some are arguing that it is sending the wrong messages to little girls, that life is all about glamour and meeting your Prince Charming when in actual fact it's far from that...
