Lady Gaga Covers Elle UK and Vanity Fair

Lady Gaga hits off the new fashion year with the January covers of both Elle UK and Vanity Fair.

Gaga has released two different covers for Elle UK which are both softer and more pastel than her usual appearances. The first cover shows Gaga wearing an orange/peach Alexander McQueen dress which is heavily embellished and flawless to say the least. The second cover is much simpler with her wearing an aqua coloured Simone Rocha dress and mask. The second cover is much softer and focuses on the facial expression whereas the first has a strong focus on the dress.

Both covers and the inside spread are shot by Matt Irwin and although both are nice, I do prefer the first, and that's the one I picked up in store!

Gaga's January cover of Vanity Fair is much more flamboyant and Lady Gaga-esque. The cover and inside spread are shot by Annie Leibovitz so what really could we have expected! The cover is very loud and in your face and then the main shoot just depicts everything Lady Gaga is as an entertainer.

I personally prefer Lady Gaga's Vanity Fair cover and spread because I think it's much more her. Although it is good to see a different side to her once in a while, I just don't think the soft pastels really suit her personality.

Which do you prefer? Are you a fan of any of them?
