Best and Worst Celebrity Look of the Week

For the first BEST celebrity look of the week, it's Michelle Pfeiffer at the New Years Eve Premiere.

Michelle wore a figure hugging Dolce&Gabbana purple dress paired with fuscha pumps and Neil Lane jewellery. This dress is very age appropriate with the short puffed sleeves and knee length and Michelle looks fabulous even at 53! Her make-up is subtle but still noticeable and her waved hair suits her perfectly.

The next BEST celebrity look of the week is Kate Walsh at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball.

Kate wore a floor-length one shoulder satin blue dress with a tie bow detail around the waist. Now although this is not my favourite dress Kate has ever wore, I think the look as a whole really works. The subtle eye make-up contrasts well with the bright red lip and her off-red hair goes so well with the dress colour. Paired with two simple rings and a diamond bracelet, this look is very well balanced and compliments Kate's figure.

My first WORST celebrity look of the week is Jessica Biel at the New Years Eve Premiere.

This Valentino dress is just horrendous! The odd length combined with the placement of the 'waistband' just work together to make this dress a disaster without even taking into account the material. The metallic, striped mesh material and dull colour just do Jessica no favours; this dress is a far cry from her usual figure hugging dresses that work well with her body shape. This is definitely a fashion no no for Jessica! On the plus side, her hair and make-up, though subtle, really gives her a fresh look.

The next WORST celebrity look of the week is Miley Cyrus at the American Giving Awards.

This look is much like marmite to me. I think you are either going to love it or hate it and for me, I hate it. Moving away from the dress for the minute, I just don't think Miley suits her hair like this. A messy ponytail maybe but this wet, scraped back look just does nothing for her. I also think her eye make-up is too dramatic when you consider the drama given off from the hair and the dress. This aside I do actually quite like Miley's dress, however it seems lately she has a real thing for plunging necklines and cinched in waists; if does work here for her though. Her dress is a floor-length nude Jenny Packham piece and she has paired it with Loree Rodkin dangle earrings.

Do you agree with my best and worst looks? Any celebrity looks that you think were better or worse?

xoxo
