ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY COVERS ELLE UK + SUBSCRIBERS COVER!

For the September issue of Elle UK, we see British supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley donning the cover wearing a floral look from the Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. This is Rosie's second Elle cover as she also appeared on the July 2011 issue with  sticking subscribers cover! Speaking of subscribers covers; I received my copy today and I have to say, it is beautiful. Rosie wears the same Dolce & Gabbana piece but is photographed from head to toe - it seems in her editorial, this 'line' theme continues also...

Both the subscribers and the newsstand covers are great shots and the editorial is just as exciting. Honestly though, I'm not sure whether this issue beats her July shots in my opinion.

What do you think of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's September cover of Elle UK? Will you be buying this issue, or are you like me and already have it?

OUTFIT | SPIKES AND ALL

sweatshirt: topshop
jeans: topshop 'leigh'
toms: schuh
bracelets: gift, pandora, topshop (peace), river island (silver chain), avon
nails: essie mint candy apple

Today has been a really really slow day for me. Lately work has been so quiet which makes the days just drag on forever; but finely its the weekend so time to relax. Sort of. I'm actually working on Sunday too so tomorrow will be a day of relaxation and a spot of essentials shopping in the morning.

I honestly didn't know what to wear this morning. I mean, I am sat in a windowless office all day so I don't get to see the weather but all the same, it was a pretty warm day from all accounts. I opted for my new black leigh jeans - so comfy - and my spiked sweatshirt also from Topshop because it's loose fitting and slouchy, perfect for sitting down all day. I also thought it'd be useful if anyone attacked me during the day to shoulder barge them with the spiked details haha. I also popped on my toms; oh my gosh these shoes are the comfiest shoes I own/have ever owned! It really does feel like I'm walking on soft fluffy clouds when I wear them.

RACHEL WEISZ COVERS MARIE CLAIRE UK

Ahh it's that time again, Marie Claire UK are one of the first to release their September cover and this time we see Rachel Weisz featured. This cover comes as no surprise as Rachel is currently promoting her latest movie, The Bourne Legacy. The British actress is wearing a black and red embellished dress and a too beautiful LBD on the subscribers cover.

Rachel talks exclusively about her life in New York with husband Daniel Craig, her teenage rebellion and motherhood; "I mean, I love my son but it's not without conflict." Read her full interview on August 2nd in Marie Claire's September issue!

This is Rachel Weisz' second UK cover this year and honestly, I think she has blown her Vogue cover out of the water with this one and from what I can see, this months editorial is also set to be a great one!

Do you like Rachel's cover? Will you be buying this issue?

VO5 MIRACLE CONCENTRATE ELIXR WITH ARGAN OIL

VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixr with Argan Oil - Boots (£5.19 per 50ml)

I've noticed lately that oil hair treatments are becoming more and more popular; especially so in the blogging community. I personally am all for trying a new hair product, especially if it claims to help damaged hair. Having coloured hair looks nice but doesn't do anything for the health of your hair so I'm always looking for ways to keep my locks looking lovely.

A popular hair treatment at the moment seems to be Moroccan oil but in all honesty, yes I want my hair to be healthy, but I don't really fancy paying the outrageous prices for these oils so I have opted for trying out some of the lesser expensive drugstore products. It seems Argan oil however, is a much more readily available hair oil than Moroccan, but if it does the job, who cares what oil it is or where it's from! A personal favourite of mine is Tresemme's Argan Oil Serum which is great because it does the job of a hair oil and the job of a serum so in theory, you should get shiny, healthy and smooth hair. I do love this serum, and when I use it I can see the effects right away but then not long after, my hair just goes bad to looking 'fluffy' and normal.

I decided to go on the hunt for a new hair oil and last week, I ventured into Boots and found the VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixr wit Argan Oil. Can I first just start by saying, how small are these bottles?! I mean I know you only need the smallest amount and I know that the tiny bottle will last ages, but I just wish they sold different sizes - it's exactly the same thing with the Tresemme serum as well! Anyway, the product itself is in a cute little bottle with a pipette lid which really does make ice so much easier. To apply, you squeeze a tiny, pea sized amount into your hands and then apply this to the ends and mid-length of your hair - it seems to work better on wet hair, but it does say you can apply it to dry hair too.  I've also found the heat from blow drying your hair, makes the oil work slightly better, but if you don't like to use heat then letting your hair dry naturally will be fine too.

After using this product I notice the effects instantly and it leaves my hair feeling the softest it has ever felt (clique much?). I've also noticed that the ends of my hair are looking much healthier and not their usual dry selves - whether this is the oil or something else I don't know but either way I honestly love this VO5 Argan oil and I think I'll be using this for a long long time.

Have you tried any hair oil treatments, if so, which ones and how did you find them?

RABITO

I have been after one of these bunny iPhone cases now for ages and when I finally came across one on ebay for a good price I snapped it up. Much to my surprise, having ordered it yesterday, it arrived today and was ready and waiting for me when I got home from work ^_^.

Half of you reading this are probably thinking; what a silly phone case, and I agree, it is a really silly thing but honestly, every time I look at my phone now I just can't help but smile. I mean it's just so cute! I am so excited now to actually talk on the phone just so I can whip it out of my bag and spread the cuteness all around! Not only is it cute, it's also functional so I'm told. I believe that you can use the ears to wrap your ear phones around and the suction cup tail as either a stand - sort or - or also to wrap you earphones. Cute and functional. I'm yet to see the functional side to it however.

One thing that was a massive surprise to me was just how sturdy this case is. I was expecting it to be floppy and misshaped and loose on my phone but it fits perfectly and is a super thick silicone material to it will actually do the job of a case hopefully and protect my phone! As you can see from the photos, I chose the baby pink version but having now seen it in person, I'm definitely going to be buying it in dark pink too. Ahhh this is by far the best phone case I've ever had. I just love it.

ZARA MESSENGER BAG + WHAT'S IN MY BAG!

The £19.99 Zara messenger bag really has become the 'it' bag amoung bloggers and yep, I pretty much just jumped on that bandwagon! Well actually, I jumped on it a few weeks ago but i haven't been anywhere to use the bag so it has just been sat, lonely, in the box it came in...

I was debating between the grey and the black versions of this bag but in the end, the rose gold hardware won me over - plus, I have a million black bags already! Seeing the grey colour in person, it actually is a really beautiful, elephant grey and I'm so glad I chose it over the black. Although not real leather, this bag is super soft which makes for a really lovely slouchy look. It's so so roomy, and has extra pockets inside for your phones, keys, etc etc. I do think i'm going to try and use this bag sparingly though as I have a feeling it will show wear very quickly; also read that jean dye transfers onto it, not a good look.

Whilst writing this post I suddenly got the idea to include a 'what's in my bag' section because I'm in process of transferring all my stuff from my other bag to this one away so why not give you a glimpse into what I carry around with me on an average day...

L-R: Paperchase diary, Ted Baker purse, Impulse spray, Soap & Glory Hand Food, SJP perfume, keys (house, car), hand sanitizer, pen, Company magazine, iPhone 4 (waiting for my new cover to arrive), earphones, phone cable, Nailene nail glue, Carmex cherry lip balm, Nivea lip balm, Rimmel concealer, Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake, Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 03.

Now obviously, the above contents will change daily depending on the lipstick and perfume I'm wearing and the magazine I'm reading - usually Company, Glamour or InStyle (just discovered this magazine!), as they are travel sized. Other things may also appear like receipts, wrappers, iPod, book, food etc etc but this is just what is currently in there.

I don't think my bag contents are all that interesting but I know I love seeing 'what's in my bag' posts and videos so I thought you all would too! Is it just me or does it look like I have so much more in my bag in the top two photos than the bottom :S weird.

**I did have the current book I'm reading in my bag too - LA Candy - but I took it out to read and forgot to include it here :| not sure what I make of it to be honest, review to come soon!

"YOU SEE? HE LIVES IN YOU..."

*Random post alert* I just felt like I should show you all my new laptop decal (Lion King fans will now understand the title of this post), I just love it! I really wanted something to stick n my laptop and when I came across this ebay seller who has a tonne of decals, I just got so excited. I chose the Rafiki design because I love The Lion King and having applied the sticker, I'm so pleased with it.

One thing, the instructions made the application process seem super easy; which it was not. I think I spent close to an hour trying to get this sticker to actually peel off the backing and onto my laptop, but after all that, the finished result is lovely :). Apparently, according to the seller, these decals are also easily removable; however, if the application is anything to go by, I'm not counting on it.

Anyway, this was literally a last minute, spur of the moment post just to show you my awesome laptop decal! I hope you're all having a great week, and if you're in the UK, I hope you're not too depressed by the awful weather haha.

MARION COTILLARD COVERS VOGUE US

Following her August cover of Marie Claire UK, Marion Cotillard now covers the August issue of Vogue US wearing a royal blue velvet coat. This cover was shot by Peter Lindbergh and honestly, it doesn't really make me excited about the issue. She almost looks as though she is a member of the royal family posing for a portrait; it actually takes me back a few years to having your school photo taken - nothing really special about this cover at all. I will say though, the accompanying editorial is beautiful even if it is slight velvet overkill.

You can see Marion's full shoot here, but you'll have to wait until the issue hits newsstands on July 24th to read her interview...

What do you think of Marion Cotillard's August Vogue US cover? Will you be buying this issue?

MODELS OWN | BEACH PARTY

This nail polish, oh my gosh I just love it! There is definitely a party going on on my nails right now; the name is so true. I bought Beach Party - part of the Head Kandi range - last weekend after seeing it on so many blogs and it came as one of my first ever Models Own polishes. I honestly was not prepared for just now bright it really is, the photos really do not show its true brightness. I mean it's that bright it pretty much glows in the dark - as someone said to me at work; "at least if you break down, even in the dark, you can just wave your hands for help"!

The application of this polish really wasn't all that great in my opinion. I found it so difficult to get a non-streaky and opaque look and ended up having to blow on my nails to even it out - this surprisingly worked haha. The finish however did end up looking alright, but I noticed it did begin to turn slightly matte which I'm not a fan of so I just put a top coat over. I did however like how quickly it dried, I literally finished painting my second hand my and my first was pretty much dry which is great.

So far, I've had this on my nails for about 3 days and there are so signs of wear or chipping and the colour is definitely as bright as ever. I really love the colour; it's definitely one that gets noticed - a lot. Some people seem to really like it, others however, have just given me funny looks. I think it makes a boring/dull outfit much more interesting; paired with an al black look would be best.

Even though I found the application to be a tad tricky, I do absolutely love the colour and it seems to wear well. i'm excited to try out more Models Own polished, especially some more from the Head Kandi range.
Have you tried Beach Party? Which Models Own polish would you recommend?

REVLON LIP BUTTER IN STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake: Boots/Superdrug (£7.99)

Wow I'm late posting this! I've actually had this Revlon Lip Butter for weeks now and I actually thought I'd blogged about it already; clearly not. When these first came out I was skeptical about them, I mean they are a lip butter so I just assumed that they would be very sheer and very well, pointless. I mean paying £7.99 for an almost lip balm isn't my idea of a worth while purchase but having used this for a good few weeks now, I have completely altered my opinion on the Revlon Lip Butters.

I chose Strawberry Shortcake which is a warm pinkish shade with blue undertones. On my lips it does come out a lot more of a pale barbie pink than it appears in the tube but I think with my skin tone, it still looks nice. I love how the blue undertones really make my teeth look whiter haha. It is a very creamy consistency and the application is so easy because it jet glides onto your lips like a lip balm. It is a very moisturising formulation which feels nice on the lips and doesn't leave them feeling dry at all - it does however show all the inconsistencies of your lips so I'd suggest applying a good lip balm first. One thing I wish was different was the lasting power. It only lasts on the lips around 2 hours maximum before you need to reapply which is annoying but I suppose for a sheer lip balm/stick is what you'd expect.

The price was what surprised me the most and not in a good way. I think nearing £8 is a bit steep for the product you are getting. I mean, it is after all just a very sheer lipstick/balm. I'll give it the fact that it is moisturising and the colour payoff is surprisingly good for what it is, plus the packaging is lovely, but I still think the price is a little too much; even if Revlon is usually a higher priced drugstore brand anyway. I would however still recommend the Revlon Lip Butters for anyone who is looking for a moisturising sheer lipstick with good colour payoff. I am actually now wanting to try a couple of the other shades to see if they are all as good as this one. This however does seem to be the best pigmentation of the lighter shades available.

AMERICAN WILD CHILD

(source: fashion lane)

I feel like this post is a good few days later than it should be seeing as July 4th has been and gone, but hey, who really cares. This fashion shoot was obviously done for the American holiday but I am just so inspired by it. I just adore the styling, the way it has been shot and the whole concept. I have noticed the whole American, rock trend cropping up a lot lately and I really do feel like I need some of this trend in my wardrobe! Beth Whitson, the model, has done a fabulous job at taking on the 'American Wild Child' persona, I especially love her mellow and free spirited attitude that's clearly present, it really does compliment the entire shoot.

Right, well I'm now rambling and some of my college photography talk is starting to appear, so I'm going to just leave you with these lovely photographs, after all, this is the second time you're hearing from me today! Aren't you the lucky ones eh? :)
