Student Lock In...

When I heard that The Bridges shopping centre was doing a student lock in event I immediately knew I had to go! The thought of shopping in all the high street stores for discounted prices is anyones idea of a good time right?

So, when we arrived there (one hour early!) we were all told to queue outside the doors in two lines; pre-registered and unregistered. We managed to get to the front of the queue and were informed that the first 300 people would receive the best free gifts...this turned out to be a lie as all we got were leaflets :|

Whilst we were queuing it became apparent to us that this was such an unorganised event. People were just walking in and out of the shopping centre at will, so really what was the point in the queues?

Anyway, I did come away with a few things so heres what I got:

Rust red batwing knit cardigan - Internacionale

True Blood season 1 - HMV

Purple/burgundy boho picture tee - New Look

Navy blue patterned knit jumper - Miss Selfridge (Debenhams)

The batwing cardigan I've had my eye on for a while now. I actually nearly bought it last weekend but I'm soooo glad I didn't now! I have wanted a cardigan like this for ages and I was tempted to buy the brown/beige one instead but thought I'd go for this colour as it seems to be very in fashion at the moment.

I finally bought True Blood! I've been looking everywhere for this to find the best price and then I stumbled across it in the sale section of HMV and I snapped it up straight away. I love this show! I've only recently become a fan but I just think it is brilliant and I'd totally recommend it - it isn't just your typical vampire show.

This t-shirt is not something I would usually buy, but I saw it and wanted it - plus it was a brilliant price so I thought why not! I like the picture on it and I think worn under an oversized cardigan it'll look nice :)

The last thing I got was the navy jumper. This was a tough one as I couldn't decide between buying that and this:

Obviously I chose the navy one, but I do really really want this geometric jumper too! I'm still happy I chose the jumper I did (however I've just found out it's meant to be a dress - on me, it still looks like a jumper though). I like the knit around the neck and on the sleeves, it just looks quite unusual:

As you can see, I didn't really buy that much - I did however discover that even with things discounted, money does not go far! I probably could have bought more things if i'd had more money, but to be honest these are the only things I saw that I wanted.

Have you ever been to a student lock in? What was your experience like?

xoxo
