WISHLIST | CHRISTMAS EDITION

I thought I'd change up my usual wishlist posts and make a Christmas special. These are just things that I would really love to receive, although they might also give you a few gift ideas yourselves!

Topshop Adonis2 Cut Out Boots | I've seen these boots floating around for a while now and I recently saw them in a local Topshop and couldn't bring myself to part with them - I eventually did! I really need a good pair of boots and I just love the buckle detailing on these.

Stylist: The Interpreters of Fashion | I actually borrowed this book from my university's library for an  assignment but I actually really want it for myself now. I love big, photographic fashion books and hope to build my collection!

Sons of Anarchy Season 1 | This show has quickly become my new favourite show. I only started watch it in October I think and I'm already nearly caught up with season 5! I'm one of those people who likes to have TV box sets and this is the next one on my list.

Kardashians for Dorothy Perkins Purse | As much as I love my Ted Baker purse, I really wish I got one in black as it gets so dirty so quickly. I saw this purse a few weeks ago though and I love it (admittedly I did fall more for the Kardashian name than the purse).

Enrapture Heated Hair Rollers | I've been enjoying having my hair curly lately but I find it doesn't last at all using my straighteners and it's a bit too 'messy'. These are probably one of the things I want the most because they just look like they give the most beautiful curls to your hair.

Topshop Big Gem Sweatshirt | I've had my eye on this for a while, I love the big gems on the front and also the elbow detailing of them too. It's black and I almost always wear black, so it'll fit into my wardrobe nicely.

Well, that is my Christmas wishlist, what is on your list this year?

FAVOURITE WINTER 'TREND' | FAUX FUR

When it comes to winter, I'll admit, I'm not one of those people who likes to wear a million and ones layers; even if I really should! One thing I do love about the winter though, is the chance to break out the faux fur again, which I miss so much during the warmer months. Fur seems to be a timeless trend that returns each year without fail, and even more so this year it seems.

Fur - faux or real - I would imagine is a love/hate thing, and not to everyones taste but I personally love it and this year I've gone a bit fur mad! I have two fur coats, one that I got last year and one this year and I love them both so much. It just makes me feel so toasty and warm, so who needs a tonne of layers eh? A recent fur purchase of mine is this H&M collar which I had my eye on for ages and then finally just bit the bullet and bought it; it works well with so many different things and can really make something boring look a little more special.

Next there's hats, and I realise that all these aren't fur, but I thought I'd just include them all anyway! I've had the panda hat for a few years now and it's just so cute, but now that sooo many people own it, I don't like to wear it as much. I also have a plain black, beanie style and then a black and grey 'glitter' beanie with a fur bobble on top. The newest addition is my full fur hat complex with ears and bobbles; this is by far the warmest hat, even if it isn't the most practical.

SIENNA MILLER COVERS HARPERS BAZAAR UK | JANUARY 2013

I honestly thought I'd already published this post a few days ago, clearly not! Anyway, this is the January 2013 cover of Harper's Bazaar with their cover-star, Sienna Miller.

I really love the whole cover, I'm not sold on Sienna's face - it looks a little awkward - but I think the styling is incredible with the pale pink pleated piece, the subtle hair and nude nails. Soft pastels seem to be a running theme throughout January covers! This is Harper's Bazaar 'Body Issue' and it includes an interview with Sienna about her body image, and the journey she has taken.

I'm looking forward to picking up myself a copy of this issue! Are you a fan of Sienna Millers soft, pastel cover?

MALLZEE | 'MAKING SHOPPING SOCIAL'

I was recently contacted about a new online shopping website that is due to be launched later this year. The website is Mallzee.com and it prides itself on making the online shopping experience more social which seems like a concept everyone would enjoy and also one I have never come across before.

Users of the website will be able to create their own personalised shopping 'mall' by choosing their favourite stores and brands. The software at Mallzee will then find products to match each individuals personal style and will showcase them in the mall. Now to me this seems like an amazing concept and one I'm super excited to try out, who wouldn't want their own personalised mall?

Mallzee currently has over 200 brands signed up including some well known ones like New Look, Urban Outfitters and Fell Unique. One of the more social aspects of the site is the integrated Facebook chat option and also the ability to share you mall with friends; plus get their opinions on pieces you've found. An added bonus to this is that you earn money every time you or someone else buys from your mall. Getting paid to shop, I like that idea and it'd take away some of the guilt too!

One last thing, if you sign up to Mallzee.com now for the pre-launch, you could be in with a chance of winning £100! Great eh?

RITA ORA COVERS GLAMOUR UK | JANUARY 2013

The minute I heard that Rita Ora was to cover the January 2013 issue of Glamour, I was super excited. I loved her ASOS magazine shoot so much and she always looks amazing on the red carpet *cough EMAs *cough*, so I had high hopes for this cover and I'm not disappointed at all! Rita wears a floral Christian Dior dress and a pair of vintage drop Chanel earrings; this is a very different look for her, but it suits her well.

Are you happy to see Rita Ora covering Glamour UK? Do you like her softer Christian Dior look?

DURHAM

If you couldn't tell by the title, today I went to Durham, mainly because I wanted to see the Christmas market there. The market itself wasn't great, it was very busy and mainly consisted of jams and cheese which didn't really feel very 'Christmasy' to me. What did feel like Christmas though were the Reindeers! I got to see one for the first time (actually three!) and they let you stroke it too; it was incredible. That I think was the highlight of my whole day.

One thing that was far from a highlight is how cold it was. I actually cannot put into words how cold I felt walking round, but lets just say, I couldn't move my fingers at one point! This then prompted me to buy some much-needed gloves and the best hat you will ever see, ears and all. I also bought a vintage brooch from a small market type stall, which is something I've been looking for for absolutely ages but haven't ever found one that isn't sparkly or gold. Anyway, I did find this one and it's perfect, and it looks lovely on my faux fur coat too.

As for the rest of the weekend, I plan to finish off a few pieces of work that I have and then catch up on some television; I feel so behind on everything. I hope you all had a lovely Saturday and ta-ta for now!
