RIHANNA COVERS HARPER'S BAZAAR US

August is shaping out to be a great month for glossies, what with Emma Stone, Marion Cottiland and Katie Holmes' perfectly timed cover of Elle US - right when her split with Tom Cruise is announced?! Now we see Rihanna has landed the cover of Harper's Bazaar US with what is a beautiful cover. She was photographed by Camilla Akrans wearing a dress from the Calvin Klein Collection and a Neil Lane bracelet. 

I will definitely be buying this issue, I'm excited to see what Rihanna's accompanying editorial will be like, and if the cover is anything to go by, I'm sure it'll be great. Do you like Rihanna's August cover of Harper's Bazaar US? Will you be buying this issue?

MARION COTILLARD COVERS MARIE CLAIRE UK

Marion Cotillard is Marie Claire's August cover star and although I'm not her biggest fan - she really annoys me in movies - I do love this cover; I just wish they hadn't cut off the top of her head. I love the pale pink look she has on the cover and her inside editorial is just as great. Surprisingly I'm a fan! This has to be one of my favourite Marie Claire covers of the year.

Exciting news; I just subscribed to Marie Claire and hopefully *fingers crossed* I will receive this August issue because the subscribers cover is even nicer in my opinion.

EMMA STONE COVERS BRITISH VOGUE

Emma Stone has once again landed a cover of a glossy, this time on British Vogue's August cover. I absolutely love this cover and this it's by far one of Vogue's strongest covers of the year, just brilliant! I also totally agree with the 'new Hollywood heroine' title she has been given, she's having an amazing run at the moment. 

Emma models a MaxMara jumper and a chimney cap which is a completely different look for her but it suits her well don't you think? This cover is all honesty is not the most creative but I think that's what makes it so great, I love this cover and I'm really excited to see the accompanying editorial.

MY JUNE FAVOURITES

Essie Mint Candy Apple, Technic 'Glitter', Topshop Hidden Treasure, Nailene 200 Full Cover Nails, Oxy On The Spot, Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo, Palmer's Cocoa Butter, Nivea Face Wipes, Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, Carmex Cherry Lip Balm, Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake 

Better a few days late than never I say! I haven't been able to do a favourites post in a couple of months for the simple reason that I was using all the same things and I'm sure you don't want to hear about them all again and again. Throughout June though I discovered some new - and some old - things that I really enjoyed using and thought I'd try and do a favourites post (even if I am a few days late).

The Essie nail polish is relatively new to my collection having heard so much about it; I have to agree, it is such a lovely shade and so easy to apply! The Topshop polish is probably my favourite of all the polishes I own, just beautiful and the glitter - which has no name :S - is just great as an accent nail. I also recently discovered the Palmers cocoa butter which has the most amazing smell ever and it leaves my skin feeling so soft. I've become such a fan of the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, it just gives your skin such a glow - I've done a full review of it here. For my lips, I've mainly this month been using Carmex lip balm religiously morning and night and then I've found myself reaching for my Revlon lip butter in strawberry shortcake; I can't believe it's taken me this long to buy of of these!

My trusty Bastiste dry shampoo is forever a favourite and the Nivea face wipes have been perfect for removing make-up and freshening up my skin at the end of the day. Speaking of skin, lately I've acquired a few blemishes on my face and Oxy is the best cream I've found for getting rid of blemishes fast, I use it every morning and night and it does the job perfectly.

NAILENE FULL COVER NAILS

I absolutely love these Nailene nails, they are just amazing. I have used these for a good few months now and today I came to put together my junes favourites with these included and then realised I hadn't actually done a formal 'review' on them - I'm not even sure if I've ever mentioned them?! I'll be honest, I wear fake nails every day and have done for pretty much the whole of this year. My actual nails are in terrible condition - not helped by constantly wearing fakes - and I just hate how weak, discoloured and misshaped they are. 

For my everyday nails I use Nailene 200 full cover nails in active square. I think - don't quote me on this - that these are the standard size nails and then they do petite and....large; although I've only ever seen in store the active squares. I really like how these nails aren't too long which makes them look so natural and basically like they are your own nail;s which is really want I wanted to achieve. False nails are great, but when they look really false I'm not a fan - sorry! These are very comfortable and are so easy to apply as they bend to fit your nails and they come with a lot of different sizes too so theres a nail for everyone. 

I would highly recommend these nails if you're looking for a natural look that looks really good and doesn't involve any messing around at nail salons. They take no time at all to apply and for me they last up to 2 weeks - I repaint them too - but I've read that for most people they only last up to 5 days at a stretch which is odd...am I doing something wrong; or right?

Nailene 200 nails are available in lots of other styles and can be found cheapest at most Savers, and then at Asda and Boots for about £8-£9.

This week has been a non-stop working week, today is my only day off so I thought I'd get some blog posts written, tidy my room (all done!) and just catch up on some shows I've not had chance to watch. I've also made a plan to buy one thing from my 'must buy' note each week until I have them all, good plan eh?

MILA KUNIS COVERS ELLE UK & FREE ST TROPEZ GRADUAL TAN!

Much to my delight, after a very very slow day at work, I came home to August's issue of Elle magazine! For the first time, I actually got a magazine without having any previous knowledge of who was on the over...it was a great surprise actually seeing Mila Kunis though. The photo shows the subscribers cover (you can see the newsstand issue HERE) which I think is  beautiful shot of Mila; this may even be in my top covers of this year,  just  love the sixties inspired styling used...maybe it'd be slightly better if she looked more cheerful though?

This months issue also came with an Autumn/Winter 2012 Runway Edit which I shall enjoy browsing AND a miniature tube of St Tropez Gradual Tan Body Moisturiser which I was uber excited by when I saw it! The only thing I hate about getting free samples with magazines is that if I end up loving them, usually they are that expensive that I just cannot justify buying and then the sample just seems pointless and it makes me sad haha. 

Well, this was just a quick post today, loving Elle's August issue and the free St Tropez mini, what do you think of Mila Kunis' covers? Which is your favourite?
